Family...

This is just a little comment about my feelings about our family. With so many people it's hard to connect all the time- but I'm grateful to know that we are the kind of family that pulls together when support is needed.
Thank you- Liss

Good News and Bad News but, no Terribly news

So, the bad news first. That's what I think is best. Out of 16 eggs, only 10 were mature. Out of those 10 mature eggs, only 3 fertilized. So, the sperm looked great and were moving well. Basically I have hard eggs. Oh man! If we need to do IVF again we will need to use a needle to fertilize the eggs. This is more expensive.

The good news. We have 3 fertilized eggs! We only planned on transferring 2 in the first place. So, if we do not get pregnant this attempt then we will have to pay for medications and go through the hormones again!

We are doing the transfer this Saturday at 10:00am. We are going in at 9 am for acupuncture and paper work. Please, please, please pray that this will work this first time around. I don't want to do this again. Not at this point in the game. I just want to be done. We ultimatly want what the Lord wants but, hopefully we have the same goal in mind. ;)

Love, Suzy and Trevor

EGGS

So, Trevor and I have given a generous donation today. We did egg retrieval today. Which means that the doctor used a very long needle to take the eggs out of my ovaries while I was asleep. Man, I love drugs. I feel slightly out of it but, good. Trevor gave his 'donation' this morning. So, our eggs are being fertilized today. I had 16 eggs...which is good. You normally have 1 or 2 a month. Hooray for hormone injections. We will find out tomorrow how many eggs will fertilize. Hopefully all of them. We will most likely have the fertilized eggs implanted aka put in my uterus, Sunday. So, please keep us in your prayers, thoughts and this will work. Hooray. Sorry I have no pictures. The needle would just scare you. ;)

Fingers Crossed

If all goes well- or better than well- I will be graduating Friday, 9 December from WSU. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I can make this deadline. To accomplish this, I must have my thesis project done, defended, and printed by Sat. 12 Nov. Thank you for your prayers and wishes.

I'm Engaged!!!

Since I'm sure you all heard the story...I'm still going to repeat it on here. Quick & short. Michael and I go up behind The Capitol a few times a year for relax and sunset. I'd never been there until him so it's something special for me with him in our relationship. Everytime we go up I always want to take pictures. So we have quite a few, but for this night I'm so glad I did. This is a picture prior to the proposal.

This is our first picture after proposal, hugging, kissing & some crying!
I called my Mom very first and then we went to his family's house and told them all the news. It was Shelby's 16th birthday party so we told the parents separately but soon after Michael gave Shelby a hug and told her he got her a new sister for her birthday. She was confused at first so he told her we got engaged and she was so excited and came to hug me. As we were hugging the family was confused so I yelled out "We're getting married!" They all jumped & screamed. It was quite fun. Than Shelby went back to partying business so don't worry, we didn't steal her thunder, she was happy we told them all then. Here are some pictures at their house.
Love this one!

My weight lifting finger now :) Love my ring!

Thanks to everyone for being excited and happy for us. I'm happier than I thought I could be. I love being able to think about my future and plan things with him in it. Knowing we'll be together forever is so comforting. Wedding plans are going awesome and are still so fun for me. P.S. We have a date!

Some randomness

It's been so long since I've blogged, I don't remember how to do pictures in order, so oh well.
Flowers Michael sent me to work, it had been a bad couple days.

Michael & Buddy holding hands

I LOVE Tetris. Michael has it on his phone. I hadn't played it in awhile but that was good luck because I did better this night than ever in my life. I think my score was over 3 million!!! I was on level 67 and stuff. My hands were so sore after, when I asked Michael how long I had played he said like 1.5 hours...(I was supposed to be studying but I can always find something else to do). Regardless it was fun and I'm proud of my score!

Exhausted from their 'hard' life :)

Buddy tucked himself to bed but forgot his feet outside the blanket.

I went to Mary Poppins with Michael's family for 3 of their birthdays (including Michaels), but Michael ended getting really sick that day so it was just me w/the family so I'm solo in the pictures. It was a good play, but I'd suggest not spending money on it.

Dad bought this in Missouri and I love it!

Happy Tuesday!!

Holy Crap...

I went to my masters class on Tuesday, and I am going to have a challenge getting everything done on-time to graduate this fall. I have got to have everything ready and defend my paper by the first week of Nov. Wish me luck and during the month of Oct. watch out for wild bouts of tears from me. :)

1 week down in school and a General Buddy picture

Well, I have made it through the first week of school through the assistance of a fair amount of chocolate and hummus. My students seem great and I think it will be a great year. :)

This picture of General Buddy is so very cute! I bet this is what he looked like as a puppy, but with floppy ears. The other picture is what the General looks like when he is taking a nap on the couch. :)

Hello

I don't have much to post at the moment but this poor blog is getting dusty. My life is calming down a little so I'm going to try to blog more- on this and my cake blog. But for now, here is a picture of me sleeping with Alexa (Mercedes' baby).

Cattle ranch + Buddy

My friend invited us to go to see his cattle ranch last weekend. I thought back to when we were kids and other people would come and visit the farm and make comments like, "How fun!" or "How neat!" I thought, 'these people are crazy! This is constant work and drudgery.' As such, I was excited to go to my friend's ranch and say things like, "How fun!"
Little did I know that our purpose was to neuter little calves in addition to innoculating and branding all cows. I did not say, "How neat!" even once. It was interesting, and they made all of our food- which was amazing!
Overall, it was fun. The yicky part lasted for about 6 hours on Sat. and the rest of the time was just fun and eating. I have some pictures posted of people roping, Brian Mindrum trying to ride/tackle a calf, and more.

While I was gone my roommate, Julio, did not want Buddy to feel left out of the fun. So, he took Buddy on some hiking trips. On one of them Buddy was having such a good time he smiled with his teeth. That is the picture I put here. At another point in their hike they got up to what they thought was the peak- only to discover that there was another large hill after that. Buddy got up to the top, looked around, saw the next hill, and then turned to Julio and started pulling him downhill. He decided he was done for the day.

In other news, I am taking a train to Reno and then someone is going to pick me up there and take me to the timeshare in Lake Tahoe. Then, I will be riding home (to my car or the train station) with Mom and Dad. As a AAA memher the one-way ticket only cost $58.00- which is great considering my car would probably not have made it back home.

See you soon.

I live in Springdell...Again!

So, Trevor, Shelby and I have officially moved all of our stuffs into the "Pierson house" next door to Mom & Dad. How weird is that? We have been spending every single spair second moving, cleaning, fixing, etc. We have had soooooooo much help it's amazing. I am so darn exhausted. We have a great view of Timp from our bedroom. Every morning I have to retrain myself to NOT think of the Fisk's. It's hard, It is too weird to think of it as their house. Can I just tell you that Trevor is doing so fantastic. I don't mean to praise him like a child but, it has amazed me at how he is dealing with all of the house fixings and poopy interet connection. I know to most this seems silly but, to Trevor...electronics...internet...are so important. We have only begun to sacrifice things for this home.

The first night we slept there, the furnace stopped working. Which you may think is no big deal. But, it was the day after this last snow fall, in the canyon and it was about 45-50 degrees with no heat. Man, Shelby and I wore so many layers. Mom lent us her space heaters. Trevor of course was warm and cozy. He is literally a furnace.

I'll post pics of Mom's house before, in the middle and afters of the carpet remodel. That was sooo hard. So much time spent in Springdell this past month and a half. It's like I am a kid again. hee hee

Saturday(s) relaxing

The best part about the weekend was we saw this movie!!! It's exclusive to IMAX and everywhere was $13 each but at the Clark Planetarium it was only $8. It is more than worth it. It's the cutest documentary ever. It's a must see to all ;)

This is actually Friday night but it's how most nights look :)

They're favorite place to be. We were watching Conference, they were entertained by the outside.

Then some ducks came around. They've been around the neighborhood lately so we gave them some bread.

Oh...my Jeep :)

It was a nice Saturday!

And no, I'm not practicing "photography skills" just wanted all to know there are flowers coming up in the rain and snow.
