Monday, Monday, Monday...

I love the Van Gogh looking cake, and laughed pretty hard at the fun pictures of Michael and Trevor. Good luck with the HCG- and I know you aren't trying to lose weight, but maybe that can be a 'side effect'- before you get prego of course.

Buddy was pretty sad this morning when I left for work. He loved my being sick and staying in bed all day every day. He makes me laugh pretty hard when we go walking in the cold. First, he has stop stop at all yellow snow spots and make sure that his scent is on top. Then, it is so cold we have become speedwalkers- I have to fly carefully to make sure I don't slip and fall. I saw Mia, Amy's Saint Bernard, accidently fall on Buddy once and he gets REALLY mad about stuff like that. On the bright side, poop is so easy to find and pick up in the snow! I'm sure that's not what you were all thinking about when you were talking about the snow, but this is my most recent association with snow. :)

Today, I was the teacher that I always picture in my head that I want to be. I was funny, on-task, kept the students on-task, followed the lesson procedures, and they actually learned a lesson and got through the whole thing. Of course we had to skip the next lesson to do it, but we did it! We got to compare and contrast The Three Little Pigs story and The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs using Venn Diagrams. It was great, and I think it really helped the students learn.

I don't think it would be appropriate to post pictures of my students on our personal blog, but I agree with Cindy that it is nice to post pictures. Enjoy!

P.S. I am going to Mom's concert on Saturday because I have work on Sunday. If anyone wants to go with me let me know!

I love my sisters so much!!

I was looking through pics on my computer and these were some of my favorite. Michael and Trevor were having so much fun going through all of the hospital stuffs. They are wearing those masks for fun. I miss Mikey pooh.

Yesterday night I had the lovely pleasure of giving myself a shot of HCG! Trev and I went to the doctor yesterday to make sure that my body was getting ready to ovulate. I have been reading the ovulation pee sticks wrong for months. That was awesome to realize. Well, my body is doing what I thought, but about 2 days later then I have been predicting. So, to ensure ovulation when we wanted it, I had to give myself this shot. My body will think it's pregnant and push out the egg that's sitting there ready to drop. So, I have dupped my body. ha ha. We are doing IUI tomorrow afternoon. I think that last time IUI didn't work because I was a few days off. So, this time will be a good shot. No pun intended. The doctor said that everything looks good. Meaning my uterus and ovaries and potential eggs. When the doctor was telling us how many eggs I had in my right ovary he said 10! I about freaked out. Then he clarified that ONE was ready now and there are 10 more for later. Phew, I want twins but not 10 at once. He said we could be on a reality show. I said no thank you. I don't want people judging my every move. So, we are only telling family. Please keep this stuff to just us. Hopefully we will have the bestest news in two weeks!

I love Sarah's post. It's nice to hear positive things about snow. I'm surrounded by people who don't like snow. It seems like all I hear is "I hate snow". What boring people they are. hee hee

1st SNOW***

Saturday night was so much fun. It snowed a lot up here so we simply took it all in. We opened the shutters and watched the snow fall, I drank hot chocolate and Mr. drank Apple Cider. It is a little early but with the snow it seemed perfect to watch a Christmas movie. We we watched Elf.Here is our fire, ha ha. I said I was going to start a fire and that concerned Michael a little, but little did he know it was going to be this easy. I laughed at myself but I still loved the idea.
Beginning of the snow fall
I let the dogs out to see how they'd be in the snow and Buddy wouldn't come out so Michael had to plop him in the snow. After that he followed Lexy...and of course interrupted her business.

The next morning in the backyard

It was a great weekend!

Pictures

I enjoy your posts so I will now post. I love my pictures and now I'm going to force you all to see some of them.

This is Mom's Grandma's house. After we went to Grandma and Grandpa's graves we drove around to find her house. I was impressed that after so many years, mom could still take us there. It was hard at first to find the right one. It was confirmed when we walked through the driveway to the backyard. Haha, but we already knocked and no one was home.

At Grandma and Grandpa's cemetery there was a tomb for President James Garfield and near it were these statues. They were so beautiful. This one depicts Mary going to Christ's tomb on the third day. I don't know who the second statue is of.

This was on the roof of President Garfield's tomb. No one answered her knock, but I guess dead people are usually slow to respond. hahaha. Just kidding, lame joke, I know.

This is still on the roof and the background is Cleveland.

This is the Farmington river which was very very close to where I lived in CT. I drove over it every day for my work commute. It is so beautiful.

The End

(late) OktoberFest

So our work did a OktoberFest at the end of Oct for our quartely luncheon. Since the CSR and sales served the rest of them we were able to dress up in this cute attire. No worries, there's no drinking on the job. These were used to marinate the bratwurst so we took the empty cans and used them as table decorations. We are clever, I know. But I think our costumes are worth a good laugh.

So, today was soooooo frustrating. We (and help from American Express) had to put so much money into our car. This is basically the only repair the pontiac had needed in almost 80,000 miles. So, you'd think I'd be ok with that. I'm just not. It's over with now so o'well. Since pictures are just about my favorite things about blogs I'm going to post some random pics.
Don't be fooled, Trevor isn't an animal person per say. He does LOVE dogs and kangaroos. Go figure.
Sarah, where did you get those pics? I assume your camera. Can I get them? You should share! I miss those boys too. Even Andy! Just kidding, of course I miss Andy.

Missin' the boys

I sure miss these boys! They seem to love the beach in Florida but its been about 8 months since I've seen them and I really miss them both.

Miss Stacie

This is Miss Stacie
We hung out a month or so ago and since I like to post I get to use past pictures (that aren't too old) and write about them. I miss being roommates, the late night chats and the homework we did. We only live 40 minutes from each other but that is still far enough away we don't see each other much. Stace, you're the best!! I hope you like this picture. Haha

Doggies

This is who I hang out with everyday: Lexy and Buddy. See they match the pumpkins!

This little guy is quite sick right now. He wasn't doing so well yesterday evening and I guess it just got worse through the night. We took him to the vet the other day because it's likely he got kennel cough (upper respiratory problems) from the one night he was stuck at the shelter :( But he has antibiotics as well as Lexy so hopefully they cheer up soon.

Dinner and late pumpkins

This is what Michael made for dinner last night. Tilapia fish and vegetables. This looks so professional huh? We make dinner all the time but sometimes it's picture worthy or I think it is because it was a first for me cooking something. I won't post past dinners but you'll see some random ones because I like it.

I know it's past Halloween but here's come pictures anyway. Here's some people at my work dressed up for Halloween

This is my sexy pirate costume. Halloween is about the only time I wear this skirt :)

I didn't carve pumpkins this year, I painted. But it's still so so cute

I know I could be made fun of for this but I painted pumpkins for the dogs. I think they're so cute.
